‘Arkaroola, painted with fire in afternoon sun’
This is the first of many to come in a series of ‘Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary’ inspired landscape paintings. Definitely a new style for me, bringing back memories of my recent ‘Art Trip’ to South Australia’s northern Flinders Ranges. The painting has very vibrant colours and the brush strokes and pallette knife markings are quite loose compared to my usual painting style.
Completed work in the studio. It’s quite large as you can see (approximately 94 x 115cm). I still need to stretch the canvas.
